Book drop has started for the upcoming Book Swap! Don’t forget to drop your books off before 3PM November 5th and then join us on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9th from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM!
For the upcoming holiday period, EF locations will be closed from October 1st - 3rd and 6th. The exception is for the head office (258 Tongren Lu, Jing’an) which remains open 24/7
1. Drop books off and register your book credits for the swap.
All books must be dropped off ahead of the event, so our volunteers can sort and organize them in advance. Scan the QR code above to see details and deadlines of all drop-off locations and to register. Registration is mandatory if you'd like credits for the swap. Otherwise, the books will be considered as donations.
2. Attend the event to swap and/or shop!
One book in = one book out (i.e. a swap). Additional books are sold for 15RMB each. Part of the proceeds from the books sold will benefit Lifeline Shanghai. ❤

Q: Do you just accept books in English? Do you accept books for children or adults?
Different languages, genres and ages are accepted.
Q: Are there any books you DO NOT accept?
No magazines, pamphlets, coloring books, CDs, used workbooks, old textbooks, books in bad condition, etc. Please use good judgment in donating good/useful books vs stuff that should just be recycled.
Q: I have some credits left from previous swaps, can I use it this time?
No. All books get donated at the end of each swap, so credits won't be carried over towards the next event.
Q: Can I just donate and not attend the swap?
Yes.
Q: Can I bring books on the day of the swap?
No, all books must be dropped off ahead of the event, so our volunteers can sort and organize in advance

Q: Can I join the event if I don't have books to swap?
Yes, you can just come and shop! Books are sold for 15RMB each.
Q: Where do I register for the event?
No RSVP is needed for attending the event. But you do need to register for the total books that you've dropped off if you'd like credits for the swap. Otherwise, the books will be deemed as donations. Book credit registraion closes at 5pm, April 25th.
